  • Overview

V-Nova Ltd. is a London-headquartered technology company providing next-generation compression solutions that address the ever-growing media processing and delivery challenges. V-Nova provides solutions spanning the entire media delivery chain, including content production, contribution, storage and distribution to end users. V-Nova’s award-winning PERSEUS™ is the only cross-media codec format and delivers on the promises of next-generation image and video compression, today. Using PERSEUS technology, media and entertainment companies can now monetise unmet consumer demand for higher definition video everywhere, on existing devices and infrastructure, with a simple software upgrade.

The PERSEUS technology works in two ways: PERSEUS Pro is an Intra codec for mathematically lossless and visually lossless professional production, contribution and imaging workflows. PERSEUS Plus is a temporal codec designed to enhance a base codec such as H.264, HEVC or AV1 adding additional layers of detail for unbeatable distribution efficiency to consumers.

We’ve worked hard to create a company where talented, passionate people can thrive in a culture that values individual empowerment, excellence and collaboration.  Working at V-Nova™ gives you the chance to reshape how video is consumed around the world while you develop your skills, grow your career, and have fun.

    Role Description

This role requires an exceptional person to work with Technology and System Integrator (SI) Partners, building new relationships and developing existing relationships in order to enable joint solutions and generate commercial opportunities.

These partnerships typically involve technical collaboration, joint marketing, sales collaboration and roadmap planning. In some cases commercial agreements are also required. You will need to acquire a deep understanding of V-Nova’s products and strategy and to work closely with colleagues across many functions including engineering, legal, sales, marketing and product management.

Additional responsibilities include managing V-Nova’s participation in third party partner programs e.g. AWS Technology Partner Program, Google Cloud, etc.

The Partnerships manager must be highly motivated, extremely organised, and with excellent influencing and communication skills. As a critical link between the technical and commercial teams, he/she will need to be as comfortable working with engineers as with sales people. This role would suit someone with a technical background who would like to broaden focus and be more strategic and influential.

(Note: this is not a reseller/channel partner management position).

    • Own the relationship with multiple Technology Vendors & SI Partners, including understanding their technology roadmap and strategic priorities as well as the strategic fit with V-Nova

    • Ensure partner sales & product teams understand V-Nova offering and value of joint solution(s)
    • Define common objectives, deliverables and a work plan with relevant stakeholders and contributors at V-Nova and the Partner
    • Manage different multi-disciplinary work streams within V-Nova and the partner (product, engineering, marketing, sales, legal) to secure timely delivery of a joint product/solution (e.g., integration of PERSEUS encoding software with an encoder vendor’s product)
    • Work with the product and sales teams to identify and engage potential new partners and prioritize activities with engaged partners
    • Participate to relevant Media & Broadcasting events to foster relationships with current and new Partners
    • Share relevant information about the partner internally at V-Nova; providing visibility of the partner organizational structure, product roadmap, sales pipeline and key contacts
    • Work with the Marketing and Communication team to ensure successful sales enablement (e.g. messaging, marketing collateral, trainings, joint exhibitions and joint PR)
    • Define, formalise and market a new ‘V-Nova Partner Program’ and ensure best practice processes are developed and refined over time
    • Provide regular status updates to senior management, and include them in meetings/discussions when appropriate

    • 5+ years’ experience in a technology company (either broadcasting industry or software, preferably both), preferably with a path evolving from a technical role (e.g., field engineer, pre-sales engineer) to a more rounded commercial / business role (e.g., sales, business development, partnerships, product management, product marketing)
    • ‘Can do’ attitude and high energy are crucial; proven ability to learn quickly, adaptability, curiosity and problem solving skills are a key success factor for the role
    • Ability to prioritise effectively (‘80/20’ attitude) and work with minimal support
    • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, agile, entrepreneurial environment, in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative are key
    • Relationship and project management skills
