    Take ownership of V-Nova’s internal broadcast infrastructure, and design, install, configure and maintain hardware and software related to the broadcast technical environment.

    Supporting the work of our developers and pre-sales teams, you will ensure that our baseband video and broadcast IT systems are fit for purpose at the desk and that any changes or problems are fixed promptly. You will be the first point of contact for customers requiring support with PERSEUS integrations and must be able to work methodically to resolve issues remotely.  

    Whilst keeping up to date with the latest trends in the broadcast industry, part of the role will also involve researching and recommending equipment that will enable V-Nova to continue to develop its products within a modern technical environment. This role welcomes a motivated individual with a broadcast focus and a first-time-right attitude.



    • Own the technical infrastructure and ensure that any work is carried out quickly and effectively. This includes reconfiguring video or specialist IT hardware on staff desks, swapping computer components, installing or altering cables, configuring and installing computers and broadcast equipment as well as keeping relevant diagrams and documentation up to date.
    • Fault finding and simple repairs on a range of AV equipment.
    • Deliver video and other systems to support the needs of the business.
    • Communicate with internal departments to understand their needs and requirements for present and future projects.
    • Research and make recommendations in line with the technical procurement process.
    • Use broadcast experience to investigate bugs within the technical/broadcast infrastructure.
    • Work closely with Pre-Sales / Sales teams to determine the scope of demos.
    • Provide support to deployments at customer sites both in person and remotely.
    • Use V-Nova’s incident management system to record problems and manage incidents.
    • Prepare and provide support for equipment during on and off-site demonstrations.
    • Keep up to date with the latest technologies of the broadcast industry and seek to keep the infrastructure within V-Nova flexible and up to date.
    • Identify improvements that can be made to the infrastructure and associated equipment.


    • Shows knowledge of Broadcast Systems and an active interest in broadcast technology
    • Has experience of video systems including baseband professional video (i.e. SDI) and networked signals
    • Demonstrates swift understanding of tasks and the reason for them.
    • Has familiarity with the configuration of IT Networks (subnets, gateways etc.)
    • Understanding of VLANs and other medium to advanced network concepts an advantage
    • Good familiarity with Linux (and similar) operating systems
    • Understand of virtualisation and cloud computing an advantage
    • Ability to plan and track the location of many physical assets based on future requests
    • Ability to modify and create documentation using Visio, Excel, Word, online Wikis.
    • Experience with Python or similar scripting languages is advantageous.
    • Ability to thrive in a ‘First Time Right’ team.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion to meet the demands of the role.
    • Displays a methodical, timely and thorough approach to tasks.
    • Exhibits good personal and customer-facing skills.
    • Works well and accurately under pressure and time constraint
    • Has the initiative to work with minimal supervision
