    This role requires a proactive and customer-focussed IT Manager to provide a stable IT environment for users that meets the needs of our highly innovative company.

    You will be the primary point of contact internally in relation to all IT needs, and reponsible and accountable for providing a high standard of IT services, measured in terms of response time, outage and customer feedback. The successful candidate will likely be an experienced Systems Administrator looking for the next step up into a role that they can make their own and shape in line with the Company's growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Configuration, administration, and maintenance Windows desktops, laptops and servers
    • Configuration, administration, and maintenance of cloud based services including Office 365, Azure and AWS
    • Database administration (SQL)
    • Configuration, administration, and maintenance of virtualised systems - VMware, HyperV
    • Configuration, administration, and maintenance of LAN, WAN and WLAN systems
    • Configuration, administration, and maintenance of data backup systems (Veritas, Symantec)
    • Configuration, administration, and maintenance of network security (Cisco based)
    • Support setting up environments for testing our products and software in relation to network configuration
    • Performance monitoring, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
    • Maintain stable infrastructure for users and provide tools to perform their functions
    • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT systems
    • Maintain security and compliance policies
    • Ensure full documentation for all systems and projects
    • Maintain IT Budget, third party vendors and procurement systems, ensuring cost effectiveness at all times
    • Preserve assets, information security and control structures
    • Regular reporting of status and progress & timely reporting of issues
    • Management of corporate mobile contracts and devices

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Excellent customer facing skills
    • Multi-tasking ability and able to work under pressure
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications server systems
    • Knowledge of various hardware and software and cloud based systems
    • Networking skills including routing, switching, wireless and security, HP, Cisco, Meraki
    • Enthusiastic and willing to learn
    • A proven ability to work with speed, decisiveness and accuracy to tight deadlines.
    • A willingness to work under pressure, while being able to move with changes in the underlying environment, whether these are business or technical.
    • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

    Desirable

    • Knowledge of Linux OS
    • Development tools such as Jira, Clonfluence, Redmine, Jenkins
    • Extensive Networking and Security knowledge and experience
    • Knowledge of ERPs e.g. Sage, Oracle, Netsuite
    • Experience of working in Broadcast, Media or Telecoms environments

    General

    • BA / BSc or local equivalent in relevant discipline – however, relevant equivalent work experience also considered. Additional certifications advantageous.
    • Proven ability to evaluate and implement a variety of technical solutions, and extensive experience of the issues and requirements involved in resolving IT support issues.
    • Self-motivated and proactive in the working environment.
    • A desire for delivering quality support to customers.
    • Good presentation skills.
    • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills. An ability to build excellent working relationships, and understand the key decision drivers is essential. Used to working in a structured, accountable organisation taking clear ownership and responsibility for areas of work.
    • Highly professional and reliable.
